Classroom Etiquette and Courtesies:
(Some of the ways we try to make each and every class better than the last!)

| 1.) Students and instructor will bow at the door each time they enter or leave the classroom area to demonstrate respect to the instructor and fellow students. |
|
| 2.) If students are late for class, they should bow at the door and acknowledge the instructor before entering the classroom. Permission must be obtained to leave the classroom for any reason. |
|
| 3.) Students will respond "Yes/No sir or Ma'am" in conversation with instructors, stand respectfully and address them by their last name and proper title. |
|

| 4.) Students are encouraged to participate in class enthusiastically; however, they are to avoid unnecessary conversation. |
|
| 5.) No student, regardless of rank, may instruct or correct another student on tokens without permission from the supervising instructor. |
|
| 6.) A clean uniform is IMPERATIVE in each class as a reflection of the student's pride. |
|

| 7.) Female studentsare required to wear a T-shirt under their uniform. |
|
| 8.) Students will wear shoes on the workout floor. |
|
| 9.) No jewelry shall be worn in class except for wedding rings and medical ID's. |
|
| 10.) Belts should be worn in Kung Fu classes. |
|
|
| 11.) Students may not engage in free-sparring without the direct supervision of the Chief instructor. |
|
| 12.) There will be no use of profanity on the school premises at anytime. |
|
| 13.) Permission of the student's instructor is required before a student may attend another school's martial arts function. |
|
| |
|
| 14.) Cross training in another style is forbidden. Sharing of Kwan Ying Do techniques with or training with others outside the system is cause for immediate dismissal. |
|
| 15.) High ranking visitors to the class should be greeted with appropriate respect: If the class is in session the instructor calls the class to attention to stop and bow. |
|
| 16.) Students, parents and guests will not converse with any person involved in a class session without permission from the instructor. |
|
|
| 17.) No FOOD, DRINK, OR GUM may be consumed in the school except for water and tea at the designated break time. |
|
| 18.) Place clothes neatly and quietly in the change rooms. Do not leave uniforms in the change rooms. (School owner is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.) |
|

| 19.) Parents, children, and guests are asked to be as quiet as possible during classes. |
